Avivah Brown was born in NY, raised in Atlanta, and is now a self proclaimed Minnesotan. She is a wife and a mother of three kiddos. As a stay at home mom by day and a small business owner by night, time is always moving quickly. Her business, Mama Brown’s Cookie Co, provides custom cookies for any occasion and is a hobby proudly turned into a side hustle. In her spare time she can be found drinking great coffee, trying a new restaurant, and enjoying time with her community.

Stacey Dinner-Levin is the mother of four boys — now adults — the eldest of whom has autism. For over 25 years she’s worked with children with disabilities including PACER Center’s “Count Me In” program where she wrote several scripts. Her play Autistic License was named one of 2007’s Ten Best Plays by St. Paul Pioneer Press and was featured in American Theater Magazine. Autistic License was remounted for film and won “Best Educational” at the IFFF in 2010. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband Michael, her son Geordy, and the world’s strangest dog, her Chinese Crested, Birdie.

Lindsey M. Henke is the founder and Executive Director of Pregnancy After Loss Support, writer, clinical social worker specializing in maternal mental health, wife, and most importantly a mother to two beautiful daughters and one sweet-smiling little boy. Her debut memoir, When Skies Are Gray: A Grieving Mother’s Lullaby can be found where all good books are sold. 


Erica Hunt

2017 CAST ALUMNI

Erica Hunt is a proud resident of St. Paul, where she lives with her husband of 27 years and next to some of the best neighbors you could hope to find. Her three adult daughters live elsewhere in the Midwest and she is still figuring out the art of parenting adult children. Erica is in her sixth year of teaching American History to 7th graders in a St. Paul middle school, a vocation that simultaneously keeps her young and accelerates her aging process. She loves her family and friends, her neighborhood, cooking from scratch, reading fiction, and finding new adventures without having to travel too far. 


Aimee Norasingh

Aimee Norasingh is a wife to her husband Paul of fifteen years and mama to four amazing sons Davis, Miles, Quincy, and Jones. They live in Maple Grove. She is a Director at Optum Health and her sons will tell you, “Mommy babysits adults”. For fun, she enjoys golf, pickleball, and eating good food. As a self-proclaimed foodie, she likes to try new places and to her kids’ chagrin, camera eats first. She is passionate about volunteering and is part of the local basketball association board and the Tocqueville cabinet at Greater Twin Cities United Way.


Liz Morris Otto

Liz Morris Otto loved telling and hearing stories of heroes and villains in her youth, as a storytelling competitor and coach. But it was her 20-year marketing career that taught her the transformative power of her craft. Liz brought well-deserved attention to dozens of pioneers – business leaders, social entrepreneurs, explorers, innovators, and artists – who have made our world a better place. Today, Liz proudly holds other titles – CEO of her family’s trucking company, community volunteer, gardening teacher, sheep farmer, wife, and mom to four children who provide abundant material for her own stories about the challenges and joys of motherhood.


Lisa Ovsak

Lisa Ovsak is blessed to be an empty nester of two amazing adult children. While it’s been wonderful to watch her kids find their way, it has also become a time to figure out who Lisa is … learning what brings meaning and purpose to her life. After spending time in the hospital for depression, she and her friend Sophie have launched a jewelry business. AmazingU supports mental health challenges and provides a beautiful physical reminder of the importance of connection. A portion of the proceeds are donated to NAMI. (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) Lisa finds purpose … check.

Sarah Pelinka is a collector of stories + wayward junk and mother of two spirited kids, Poppy and Holiday - they are her heart. Married to her high school sweetheart, she and Travis remain as tight as the Girbaud jeans that first caught his attention. Each day is a gift and Sarah surely lives by this. So much so, it remains the only gift she hasn’t yet tried to return without a receipt. While Sarah finds great joy in teaching science to middle schoolers, her passion for the arts is immense. She seeks and appreciates the meaning, beauty, and laughter within every situation.


Catherine R. Squires

2019 CAST ALUMNI

Catherine R. Squires is a writer, yoga instructor, and former professor. She is writing a memoir about her experiences with pregnancy and loss. An essay from that project was published in the book, What God Is Honored Here? edited by Kao Kalia Yang and Shannon Gibney. She has written many works on race, gender, and media, including the book, The Post-racial Mystique. She lives with her family in St. Paul and is always on the lookout for interesting birds. 


Marny Stebbins

Marny Stebbins is a Strategic Development Director, freelance writer, blogger, and columnist. For five years, she wrote about the messy joy of motherhood in a weekly column for the Stillwater Gazette and blogged about the less savory side of motherhood with the Moms of Stillwater online community. She lives in Scandia, MN where it is required to eat krumkake for the holidays, but she secretly favors a treat called, “Brandy Slush.”


Carissa Jean Tobin

Carissa Jean Tobin is a Minneapolis-based writer who has been published in The Talking Stick, Minnesota Parent, and Frazzled. When she’s not writing, you can find her mentoring teachers or training Pokémon with her daughter. She chronicles her adventures in life, parenting, and lost items at goodworkgreatlife.com


Michelle Trotter-Mathison

Michelle Trotter-Mathison loves to travel, garden, sew, and go on adventures with family and friends, especially her husband and two boys. Michelle is a psychologist in private practice and is committed to helping people increase resilience through self-compassion, mindfulness, and shame resilience. Michelle is dedicated to practitioner resiliency and enjoys working with practitioners in the relationship-intense professions and speaking on the topic. Michelle is co-author of The Resilient Practitioner and co-editor of Voices from the Field: Defining Moments in Counselor and Therapist Development.


Kenzie Wilcox-Ingebrand

Kenzie Wilcox-Ingebrand became an intuitive certified holistic coach in 2020. Clients appreciate her warmth, empathy, and positivity, which lead to empowerment and improvement in life skills and work-life balance. Her specialty is self-care for healthcare providers, working with others on their journeys while leaning into her life experiences as a wife, mother of four young children, life coach, and healthcare business owner with inspiration, love, and compassion.
